A Severa, a traditional Fado restaurant in Lisbon's Bairro Alto, opened in 1955 and has remained in the founding family for four generations. Every evening, the same tradition lives on: welcoming guests as family.
Fado, recognised by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, fills the room with the voice of Lisbon, while our kitchen honours recipes inspired by the restaurant's earliest decades, the late 1950s and 1960s.
On the last night of the year, Fado, Portuguese hospitality and memory come together around the table.
